Current supplies
There exists an invisible object whose task it is to keep track of the settings of the various current supplies connected to the conductors of the configuration. To change the settings of the current supplies, bring up an edit window using the Modify menu. The name of the object is Current so the menu command is:
Modify > Current
This will bring up the edit window for the current supply object. The Supplies tab lists the defined supplies:
The first entry of each row of the table is the supply name (can be any text without blanks) and the second entry is the associated current in amps. The "+" and "-" buttons below the table are used to add and delete supplies. To create a new supply press the "+" button, then click on the name of the supply in the table and give it a new name. To a supply, select it by clicking on its row of the table, then press the "-" button below the table.
The current provided by a supply is changed by clicking on the current in the table to select the row, then clicking again on the current to start entering a new value.
On the Bias tab, you can specify the Bx, By, and Bz components of a uniform bias field to be applied to your system. The units of these components are tesla. Set all components to zero if you do not want a bias field applied to your configuration.
Once you have modified the current supplies or bias field, the changes must be registered by pressing the Apply or Done button. If AutoRecompute is enabled, the magnetic field will be recalculated immediately to reflect the new current supply and bias field settings. Pressing the Cancel button discards any changes you have made.
