Sphere (Revolved object type)

Prior to version 4.1, BiotSavart used the Revolved object type to model axially symmetric permanent magnets (magnetized along their symmetry axis).

The current in the loop elements is automatically set to give equal current per height interval, corresponding to a magnetization surface current. The object is attached to a current supply, but the current is interpreted as a remanence (magnetization in units of tesla). The calculated field Bz in z and x directions:
